Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using any part of the EmbedShorts service, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you are using EmbedShorts on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.

If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. The Service

EmbedShorts provides a platform that fetches YouTube Shorts metadata from the YouTube Data API and generates embeddable widgets for display on third-party websites. We do not host, transcode, or serve video files. All video playback is delivered by YouTube and is subject to YouTube's Terms of Service.

Features, pricing, and availability may change at any time with reasonable notice.

3. Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep it up to date. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

Accounts are personal; you may not share credentials or use a single account to manage multiple unrelated organizations.

4. Acceptable Use

You may not use EmbedShorts to:

• Embed content that infringes intellectual property rights • Circumvent YouTube's Terms of Service or API policies • Embed content that is illegal, fraudulent, or deceptive • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or overload our infrastructure • Resell access to the service without an active Agency or White-Label plan

We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these rules without prior notice.

5. YouTube API Services

EmbedShorts uses YouTube API Services to fetch channel and video metadata. By connecting your YouTube channel, you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service (youtube.com/t/terms) and acknowledge that EmbedShorts' use of YouTube data is governed by the Google Privacy Policy (policies.google.com/privacy).

You may revoke EmbedShorts' access to your YouTube account at any time via your Google Account permissions page (myaccount.google.com/permissions).

6. Billing & Payments

Paid plans are billed through Paddle, our merchant of record. Paddle handles payment processing, invoicing, and global tax compliance (VAT, GST, sales tax). Your invoice will be issued by Paddle, not EmbedShorts.

Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing period. You can cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period and your data remains accessible until then.

We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee on first-time paid plan purchases. Refunds are processed through Paddle.

7. Free Plan

The Free plan is provided as-is with no SLA. We may change or discontinue the Free plan at any time with 30 days notice to affected users.

8. Intellectual Property

EmbedShorts and its logo are trademarks of EmbedShorts. The software, design, and documentation are our property. You may not copy or repurpose them without written permission.

You retain all rights to your YouTube channel content. By connecting your channel, you grant EmbedShorts a limited, non-exclusive license to display your Shorts metadata and thumbnails within the service.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, EmbedShorts is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including lost profits or revenue — even if advised of their possibility.

Our total liability for any claim arising from these terms or the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Warranty Disclaimer

The service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or error-free operation. Uptime SLAs apply only to paid plans as specified in our Service Level Agreement.

11. Termination

Either party may terminate the agreement at any time. Upon termination you lose access to the service, and your data is deleted within 30 days per our Privacy Policy.

We may suspend your account immediately if we believe you are violating these terms or if required by law.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which EmbedShorts is registered, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in a court of competent jurisdiction.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms periodically. Material changes will be communicated by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the service after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
